Servoz

15 km from Chamonix, a roadside crag with athletic overhangs. Schist rock.  Oriented South-east.  Several routes between grades 3 and 7b... Ideal site to experiment your first abseil down...

Vallorcine

20 km from Chamonix, the most beautiful granite school of the area, adapted for beginners. A few routes of 100 m length. Oriented North-east. Easy to reach by a short walk.

La Joux

10 km from Chamonix. Gneiss rock.  Most routes are 20m in length and grade between 4 and 6 .

Cheserys

15 km from Chamonix. Access by a 40 min walk from  “Col des Montets”. Several routes on Gneiss rock.

Balme

45 mn from Chamonix by car. Altitude: 700m Height: 150 m Time to approach: 5 mn Very stiff Limestone. Diversed and very aerial climbing. Difficulty: ABO - Approximately 25 routes.

Barberine

30 mn from Chamonix by car. At the Swiss border, adherent granite... in the form of flagstones with some splendid pillars of almost 300m.

Vuardes

45 mn from Chamonix by car. Altitude: 1600m Height: 200 m. Approach: 20 mn Very stiff Limestone. Diversed and aerial climbing. Difficulty: TD and ED. About 25 routes.

Maladière

45 mn from Chamonix by car. Altitude: 1100m Height: 250 m. Approach: 30 to 45 mn . Very beautiful stiff, often vertical limestone. Diversed climbing and aerial. Difficulty: TD, ABO... More than 50 routes!
